Q. What steps do I need to take to ensure that I keep my old phone number?
A. Transferring your existing phone number to your new cell phone is easy. Just take these three steps to ensure that everything goes smoothly. STEP 1. When submitting your order for your new cell phone and plan make sure you check the box that says "Yes, switch my old number to my new phone and plan". After you receive your new cellular phone the number should be transferred within 24 hours. You'll be able to check the status of the transfer request online in real-time. STEP 3. Once you phone number has been ported to your new phone and carrier you will no longer be able to use the number with your previous carrier.
