Q. How long will the transfer of my phone from my old carrier to my new cellular provider take?
A. According to FCC guidelines the number transfer should be completed within two hours of when it was scheduled. Some carriers still process some of the number portability requests manually. A. You can have your old cell phone number ported to your new cell phone service plan at any time, not only when you are establishing new service. Waiting to port your number over until your new cellular phone account is established just creates more work for your and requires that you keep your old cell phone account active longer than necessary.

Talk time is the total amount of phone usage, which is usually measured in minutes (partial minutes being rounded up), for calls placed and incoming calls received. Off peak minutes are the least expensive minutes and usually are unlimited.
